Version a Quote
You might need to make a change to a quote after discussing it with the client, or because you need to update information such as prices. To change a quote, you can create another version of it and then edit the new version
When you version a quote, TrafficLIVE creates a copy of the quote. The original quote is retained as is, is locked against editing, and is assigned the system status of DECLINED. TrafficLIVE appends a version number to the new copy of the quote. Any additional versions of that quote increase the version number by 1. For example, Quote Q123 is first versioned as Q123:1, and subsequent versions are named Q123:2, Q123:3, and so on. You cannot version a quote that has been transitioned to a job.
To version a quote, complete the following steps:
- Click .
- Locate the quote that you want to version in the data grid of the Quote Search page and click its quote number in the Quote # column. The quote is displayed on the Quotes page, which shows the quote's name as the title of the page.
- Click at the bottom of the page. The quote name changes to the new version of the quote. For example, if the original quote name was Q30, the new version is named Q30:1. Quote Q30 is locked against editing, and its system status is changed to DECLINED. The new version is displayed on the Quotes page with the page title Q30:1, which is the name of the new version of the quote.
